MommyCon, not just for Moms (Discount Code Included)

Have you heard of MommyCon? If not, I am here to tell you allllll about it!

To quote MommyCon's website,

"MommyCon is a nationwide convention series dedicated to creating and nurturing a community of parents and parents-to-be in celebration of natural parenting.
MommyCon takes a gentle and positive approach to educating parents about the emotional and physical benefits of natural birthing, breastfeeding and babywearing. We advocate values of holistic health, eco-friendly diapering, child safety standards and procedures, and female self-care and wellness. Our mission is to create a community of support, acceptance and non-judgement for women journeying through parenthood."

MommyCon has entered their 5th year of being in business and they have only grown over the years with no sight of slowing down, as they have now expanded to include a gather conference and a DaddyCon. MommyCon is based out of Chicago, but have convention locations all over the United States. You can see all of their 2018 event locations here
I will be attending my 3rd MommyCon in 10 days and have also attended two gathers and two WEAR conferences, all events put on by MommyCon. It is a conference I can see myself attending long after my kids "age out" because of the friendships I have made and will continue to make with each event.
Even though MommyCon has now launched the DaddyCon conference, neither is exclusive to any parents. All parents/caregivers are welcome at any and all MommyCon events. I have seen many non-moms at MommyCon, everyone is welcome.
What happens at MommyCon? There are education sessions on topics that are relate-able in all stages of parenthood, but especially with expectant to 5 years old. My personal favorites have been Babywearing 101, Baby led weaning, and social media focused chats. This year there are so many new sessions I am looking forward to, like a session on making 6 minute meals, or a potty training session. In addition to the educational sessions, there is a exhibitor hall filled with vendors ranging from small shops, big brands, and community partnerships. There seems to be something for everyone!
If you are reading this I encourage you to head over to MommyCon's website by clicking here, and reading even more. There may just be a MommyCon coming near you this year!
